About Dr. Rachel Alex
Dr. Rachel Alex is a leadership strategist, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and transformational coach committed to helping leaders build what outlives them. With nearly three decades of experience spanning the classroom to the boardroom, her work is rooted in one belief: leadership is not about titles, it is about legacy.
Throughout her career, Dr. Alex has served as a teacher, counselor, instructional coach, principal, executive director, Chief Academic and Accountability Officer, and Interim Superintendent. Known for aligning vision with execution, she has led large-scale district improvement efforts, leadership development systems, organizational transformation initiatives, and accountability work across Texas. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in clarity, courage, authenticity, and the understanding that student outcomes do not change until adult behaviors do.
As the founder and CEO of HELP in Schools LLC, Dr. Alex partners with superintendents, executive leaders, principal supervisors, and campus administrators to strengthen leadership capacity, align systems, and create high-performing cultures focused on results. Her work bridges strategy and transformation, helping leaders move beyond performance into purposeful impact.
Dr. Alex also serves as an adjunct professor in Educational Leadership, where she mentors aspiring principals and superintendents while connecting leadership theory to the realities of practice.
She is the author of Heroes in Our Classrooms and co-author of I Am Her: Fierce, Fearless, and Focused and Breast in Peace. Her writing explores themes of leadership, healing, resilience, identity, and purpose through both professional and personal reflection.
In addition to her executive leadership work, Dr. Alex is the creator and host of The Mirror is a MF’r, a bold and reflective podcast centered on truth, healing, leadership, rewirement, and transformation. Through raw conversations and honest reflection, she challenges listeners to confront the mirror, embrace growth, and redefine who they are becoming in every season of life.
